Asst Manager Operational Audit: Coal/Mining

CLIENT: Largest coal logistics company transporting 60-70 million metric tons of coal annually across the country by rail, road and sea to thermal power stations, paper millss, cement plants and other industrial customers.Looking for operations engineer with proven exposure to site and location audits.

KEY DELIVERABLES:

• Conduct multi-location audits operational, process, functional, and special audits to identify control gaps, inefficiencies to conduct constant analysis of operational risks on an ongoing mode.
• Identify inherent risks within each function / operations and cost-saving opportunities.
• Develop audit scope, checklists, and programs aligned with enterprise risk assessment.
• Review and finalize audit reports, ensure closure of audit observations, and escalate critical issues to management.
• Review and enhance SOPs across functions including Procurement, Security, Material Management, O&M,Quality & Quantity verification.
• Review physical verification of bulk materials (coal, cement, steel, diesel, aggregates) and identify shortages, wastage, or pilferage etc.
• Report on anomalies and observations in order to optimize and streamline workflow processes to identify process inefficiencies, implement improvements to enhance overall operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Incumbent profile:

• Mechanical/Mining Engineer with 5 years exp in Power/Railways/Mining/Shipping cos.
• Technically sound,experienced in audit process I.e. must have basic understanding about the different processes and should have clarity regarding the audit approach that how the audit is conducted, especially at locations and sites.
• Ability to identify risks.

Annual Compensation: 12-15 LPA
