Senior DevOps Engineer, Streaming Data Infrastructure

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Procore, you will be an integral part of the Product & Technology Team. Your primary responsibility will be to design, build, and manage Procore's streaming data platform in collaboration with engineering teams, product managers, and architects. You will ensure the platform's reliability, scalability, and performance through automation and operational excellence.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Design, implement, and manage highly scalable and resilient streaming data infrastructure, focusing on Kafka and its ecosystem.
• Develop and maintain automation tools and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) for provisioning, configuring, and operating streaming data services.
• Collaborate with software engineers to optimize streaming data pipelines and applications for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
• Implement and manage monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions for the streaming data platform.
• Participate in code reviews, system design discussions, and troubleshooting complex production issues.
• Support and maintain the stability and availability of the streaming data platform through on-call rotations.
• *Qualifications Required:**
• 5+ years of professional experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or similar role, with a focus on streaming data platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, including administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with AI-powered development tools to enhance engineering efficiency.
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools and container orchestration.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within global technical teams.
