AML Analyst

AML Analyst:

On behalf of our Consulting client, Procom is searching for an AML Analyst for a 3 month contract role (high possibility of extension). This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Job Description

The AML Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Anti-Money Laundering program by performing daily activities such as transaction monitoring, gathering information for investigations, and drafting regulatory reports. The role involves providing recommendations to the leadership team and ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Performing day-to-day activities associated with the AML program.
• Gathering information for investigations, performing reviews, and providing accurate reporting and recordkeeping.
• Providing recommendations to the leadership team.
• Drafting and filing regulatory reporting as required.
• Providing ongoing support to the AML leadership team.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Mandatory Skills:

• 2+ years in AML or financial crime-related roles
• Strong Transaction Monitoring experience
• EDD (Enhanced Due Diligence)
• STR (Suspicious Transaction Report) Writing
• Knowledge of FINTRAC guidelines, PCMLTFA/R, and FATF recommendations
• Excellent communication skills

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• CAMS certification
• CFCS certification
• Experience with Refinitiv/Lexus Nexus/Dow Jones, and Actimize technology solutions
• Experience reviewing and submitting STRs or other regulatory reports
• Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders
