As a Senior Lead Analyst - Accounting at Principal, you will play a crucial role in supporting world-class financial management and analysis in Pune, Maharashtra, India. Your responsibilities will include:
- Building, improving, and maintaining recurring management reports and dashboards.
- Assisting with consolidating financial data from multiple systems or sources.
- Ensuring reports are accurate, timely, and aligned with leadership needs.
- Finding opportunities to streamline, automate, or improve reporting processes.
- Researching and analyzing ad hoc management questions related to financial performance, trends, and variances.
Qualifications required for this role are:
- Chartered Accountant qualification.
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with sophisticated problems within demanding time constraints.
- Proven critical thinking, process improvement, strong communication skills, agility, and self-motivation.
- Strong attention to detail while also being able to work at a higher, strategic level.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and encourage others.
The successful candidate will demonstrate self-awareness, a desire for ongoing self-development, and be comfortable interacting at various levels of the organization. The ability to multitask, manage collaborator expectations, and work with shifting priorities will be key. Strong data visualization and storytelling abilities are also required to effectively communicate financial insights.
Added advantages for this role include proficiency in Power BI, Power Query, and SQL skills, advanced Excel for reporting and analysis, and the ability to determine and successfully implement process improvements.
