Job Description – FFS & PHE Design Engineer (Fire Fighting & Plumbing)
Location: Airoli, Navi Mumbai
Experience: 8+ Years
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced FFS & PHE Design Engineer with strong expertise in Fire Fighting Systems
(FFS) and Public Health Engineering (PHE) design for Data Center projects. The candidate will be responsible for
designing, reviewing, and coordinating fire protection, plumbing, drainage, and water supply systems while
ensuring compliance with applicable standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
● Prepare and review detailed design drawings for Fire Fighting and Plumbing systems.
● Design fire protection systems including hydrant, sprinkler, gas suppression, and firefighting pump
systems.
● Design PHE systems including water supply, drainage, sewage, storm water, and plumbing layouts.
● Perform hydraulic calculations and system sizing.
● Develop design reports, BOQs, technical specifications, and tender documents.
● Coordinate with MEP, Civil, Structural, and Architectural teams for design integration.
● Ensure compliance with NBC, NFPA, IS Codes, local authority regulations, and client standards.
● Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and project coordination meetings.
● Review shop drawings, material submittals, and vendor documents.
● Support project execution teams with technical clarifications and design modifications.
● Work on Data Center projects with a focus on reliability, redundancy, and compliance requirements.
Required Skills
● Strong experience in Fire Fighting and Plumbing Design.
● Hands-on experience in Data Center projects is mandatory.
● Knowledge of NBC, NFPA, FM Global, IS Codes, and international standards.
● Proficiency in AutoCAD and design software.
● Experience in hydraulic calculations and system sizing.
● Ability to prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and design documentation.
● Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
● Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
● Experience working on mission-critical facilities/data centers.
● Knowledge of BIM/Revit will be an added advantage.
Mandatory Requirements
● 8+ years of relevant experience in FFS & PHE Design.
● Data Center project experience is mandatory.
● Willingness to work from Airoli, Navi Mumbai.
● Early joiners preferred
