Job Summary

POWERCON Ventures Ltd is looking for a skilled Desktop & Network Support Engineer to manage day-to-day IT infrastructure, user support, and network operations. The candidate will be responsible for providing L1/L2 technical support, maintaining desktop systems, troubleshooting network issues, managing Microsoft 365 services, and assisting in firewall and security configurations.

Key Responsibilities

Provide L1 & L2 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.

Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows OS, applications, and system software.

Manage user accounts, email configuration, and administration in Microsoft 365 (O365).

Monitor and support network connectivity, LAN/WAN infrastructure, and internet connectivity issues.

Assist in configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Fortinet FortiGate Firewall.

Handle hardware installation, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.

Support VPN connectivity and remote access troubleshooting.

Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation.

Ensure system security, patch updates, and antivirus management.

Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for IT-related issues.

Required Skills

Hands-on experience in Desktop Support and Network Troubleshooting.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 (O365) Administration.

Experience working with Fortinet FortiGate Firewall.

Good understanding of LAN, WAN, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and VPN.

Experience in Active Directory user management.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field., MCA, BCA with Networking certifications if any.

Certifications such as Microsoft, Fortinet, or Networking certifications will be an advantage.
