Job Summary

POWERCON Ventures Ltd is looking for a skilled Desktop & Network Support Engineer to manage day-to-day IT infrastructure, user support, and network operations. The candidate will be responsible for providing L1/L2 technical support, maintaining desktop systems, troubleshooting network issues, managing Microsoft 365 services, and assisting in firewall and security configurations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide L1 & L2 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows OS, applications, and system software.
  • Manage user accounts, email configuration, and administration in Microsoft 365 (O365).
  • Monitor and support network connectivity, LAN/WAN infrastructure, and internet connectivity issues.
  • Assist in configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Fortinet FortiGate Firewall.
  • Handle hardware installation, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
  • Support VPN connectivity and remote access troubleshooting.
  • Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation.
  • Ensure system security, patch updates, and antivirus management.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for IT-related issues.

Required Skills

  • Hands-on experience in Desktop Support and Network Troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 (O365) Administration.
  • Experience working with Fortinet FortiGate Firewall.
  • Good understanding of LAN, WAN, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and VPN.
  • Experience in Active Directory user management.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field., MCA, BCA with Networking certifications if any.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft, Fortinet, or Networking certifications will be an advantage.
