Power Link is a Burlington-based transportation business with two divisions:

• Same Day Courier & Freight. This is an opportunity to join a growing company with significant expansion plans. We currently have a position open in our Freight division.

Position available:

CITY DISPATCH / CUSTOMER SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Location: Burlington, Full Time, In Office 5 days per week Monday to Friday

Description

The CITY DISPATCH / CUSTOMER SUPPORT SPECIALIST position entails responding to Freight customer inquiries by email and telephone, order entry, route planning, pick-up and delivery scheduling, driver audits, booking freight insurance, tracking and tracing, and interacting with colleagues in both the Freight and Courier divisions.

Primary Responsibilities

· Help answer customer calls and emails in a timely manner

· Enter customer orders accurately into Tailwind, our TMS software system

· Provide prompt, precise, and knowledgeable information to customers, drivers, and staff

· Route planning, scheduling, auditing

· Ensure pick-up and delivery commitments are achieved

· Liaise with customers regarding pick-up & delivery times, services, pricing, etc.

· Other administrative duties, as required

Skills Required:

· Possess a passion for providing best in class customer service

· Strong attention to detail

· Excellent knowledge of the Greater Toronto Area geography

· Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal

· Ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to manage time effectively, multi-task, and make changes when necessary

· Teamwork skills

· Good computer skills

Considerable Assets:

· Transportation industry dispatch experience

· Customer service experience

· Tailwind TMS and/or Samsara experience

Compensation

· $50,000 to $60,000 per year

· Potential for annual bonus

Start date: Immediately

Experience: Freight, Courier, Logistics, or other transportation industry experience is preferred

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
