Role Overview:

As a member of the Product Trust team at Postman, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that Postman remains a safe and trusted platform for customers. Your responsibilities will include contributing to product development, building security solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products. You will be instrumental in advocating for better software engineering practices and mentoring others to create secure products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to product development by working closely with Developers, Product Managers, Designers, Support, Product, Quality, Security, and Platform Engineers.
  • Build functional prototypes quickly to address internal and external use-cases.
  • Participate in planning and developing major user-facing features.
  • Mentor and encourage team members to follow best practices for software engineering.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and security standards.
  • Take ownership of end-to-end initiatives and drive them to completion.

Qualifications Required:

  • 3-5 years of experience in developing complex, distributed software applications at a large scale.
  • Proficiency in React.Js, Javascript/Typescript, node.js, and a strong understanding of web fundamentals. Experience with API platforms and developer tools is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of operating systems, networking, and software design principles.
  • Passion for continuous learning and knowledge sharing within and across teams.
  • Product-oriented mindset with empathy for users.
  • Excitement towards collaborating with global, distributed teams.
  • Alignment with company values.
