Role and Responsibilities:

The Gym Night Shift Closing Team Member ensures the gym is properly secured each evening while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming atmosphere for staff and members.

• Perform all closing duties in accordance with Planet Fitness policies and procedures.
• Confirm that all members have exited the facility before closing.
• Lock doors, secure windows, and activate alarm systems.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, locker rooms, and common areas.
• Assist members with questions or concerns and provide excellent service.
• Balance daily cash and complete all required paperwork accurately.
• Restock supplies and prepare the club for the following day’s operations.
• Report and address maintenance or safety issues promptly.
• Support front desk tasks such as membership sign-ups and billing inquiries, as needed.
• Follow all safety and security protocols to maintain a secure environment for staff and members.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous experience in customer service or retail preferred.
• Available to work evening shifts, including weekends.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.

Physical Demands:

• Standing and walking for most of the shift.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
• Occasional handling of cleaning chemicals.
