Senior Aircraft Maintenance Technician

Our client, a prominent player in the aviation industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join their dedicated team in Bengaluru, Karnataka, IN . This role is critical for ensuring the airworthiness and operational readiness of our fleet. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of aircraft systems, a meticulous approach to maintenance, and a strong commitment to safety and quality standards. You will be responsible for performing complex inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and scheduled maintenance on a variety of aircraft types. This position requires hands-on expertise and the ability to lead and mentor junior technicians.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on aircraft systems, including airframe, engines, avionics, and electrical systems. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic equipment. Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to perform maintenance tasks accurately. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with regulatory requirements (e.g., DGCA) and company standards. Document all maintenance actions performed, including parts used, labor time, and discrepancies. Participate in the testing and calibration of aircraft systems and components. Assist in the planning and scheduling of maintenance tasks to minimize aircraft downtime. Provide guidance and technical support to junior maintenance technicians. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols. Respond to AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations and perform necessary repairs to return aircraft to service. Stay updated on the latest aviation technologies, maintenance procedures, and regulatory changes.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited aircraft mechanic program is essential. Valid DGCA AME License with endorsements on relevant aircraft types (e.g., Airbus, Boeing, regional jets). Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance, with a strong focus on heavy maintenance and troubleshooting. Proven expertise in airframe, engine, and avionics systems. Thorough understanding of aviation regulations and safety standards. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documentation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and holidays, as required by operational needs.
