Logistics Coordinator, Fleet Management

Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Logistics Coordinator to manage and optimize their extensive fleet operations in Nagpur, Maharashtra . This critical role involves overseeing the daily dispatch, routing, and tracking of vehicles to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods. You will be responsible for coordinating with drivers, maintenance teams, and clients to resolve any logistical challenges and maintain high service standards. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a strong understanding of supply chain and transportation principles. Experience with logistics management software is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the scheduling and dispatch of delivery vehicles across various routes. Monitor fleet performance, ensuring optimal utilization and adherence to delivery schedules. Communicate effectively with drivers to provide instructions, updates, and support. Track shipments in real-time using GPS and logistics management software. Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule regular vehicle servicing and address any mechanical issues promptly. Resolve delivery-related issues, such as delays, route changes, or customer complaints, in a timely and professional manner. Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements, delivery confirmations, and operational costs. Analyze logistical data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and safety standards. Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to meet client delivery expectations. Prepare regular reports on fleet operations, including performance metrics and key challenges. Implement and refine logistics processes to enhance overall supply chain efficiency. Foster a safe and productive working environment for the driving team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics coordination or fleet management. Proven experience in managing a fleet of commercial vehicles. Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices. Proficiency in logistics management software and GPS tracking systems. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make quick decisions under pressure. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with drivers, clients, and internal teams. Experience in the transport and logistics industry. Familiarity with route optimization techniques. Ability to work flexible hours as needed to manage operations.
