Farm Operations Manager

This role is critical for ensuring the efficient and productive management of all aspects of the farm, from crop planning and cultivation to harvesting and distribution. Developing and implementing comprehensive farm management plans, including crop rotation, pest and disease management, and soil health strategies. Supervising and managing farm labor, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation. Overseeing the planting, cultivation, irrigation, and harvesting of crops, ensuring optimal yields and quality. Managing the procurement and efficient use of farm equipment, supplies, and inputs. Implementing and maintaining best practices in water conservation, nutrient management, and waste reduction. Ensuring compliance with all relevant agricultural regulations, safety standards, and certifications. Monitoring weather patterns and adapting farm operations accordingly. Maintaining detailed records of planting, yields, expenses, and labor. Managing relationships with suppliers, distributors, and other agricultural partners. Coordinating with the sales and marketing teams to meet market demands. Implementing innovative technologies and techniques to improve farm efficiency and sustainability. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. A minimum of 5 years of experience in farm management or supervisory roles within the agricultural industry is required. Strong knowledge of crop science, soil management, pest control, and irrigation systems is essential. Proven experience with farm equipment operation and maintenance is necessary. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills are vital for managing the farm team and operations effectively.
