Pinnacle Academy is growing and seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Middle/High School English Language Arts & Social Studies Teacher (Grades 6–12) to join our team of experienced, motivated, and effective educators. The selected candidate will teach small classes of approximately 15–20 students in a supportive and engaging environment.

Our teachers build strong relationships with students, recognize individual learning styles, and implement engaging, student-centered instruction. We emphasize project-based learning, interactive instruction, and the integration of technology and real-world connections.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and implement an effective instructional program that supports student growth and achievement
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse student needs
- Teach middle and high school ELA and Social Studies courses
- Incorporate project-based learning and interdisciplinary connections
- Encourage critical thinking, reading, writing, and analytical skills
- Facilitate interactive classroom discussions and student participation
- Communicate regularly with parents and staff regarding student progress and behavior
- Create a positive, structured, and welcoming classroom environment
- Organize students into small groups to support collaboration and social learning
- Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in English, History, Humanities, Education, or a related field
- Teaching certification or eligibility preferred
- Strong knowledge of ELA and Social Studies content and instructional strategies
- Proficiency in using educational technology in the classroom
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to create engaging, student-centered lessons
- Ability to teach Honors-level courses; experience with or willingness to support AP-level coursework (e.g., AP English or AP Social Studies) is a strong plus
- Prior teaching experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $62,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
