Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and experienced PHP Developer to join our growing

offshore team in India (employed via PICWA). The successful candidate will play a

key role in developing, maintaining, and improving SQiBLE’s cloud-based software

solutions and integrations, working closely with our Australian and international

teams.

Key Responsibilities

● Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions as part of the

SQiBLE product and client delivery teams.

● Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including

design, implementation, code review, testing, and deployment.

● Collaborate with the Developer Coordinator and Lead Developers to clarify

scope, estimate effort, and resolve blockers.

● Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following SQiBLE’s

development standards.

● Integrate with APIs and external systems as required (Zoho, Xero etc.).

● Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing systems and integrations.

● Contribute to process improvement by sharing insights and technical

recommendations.

Qualifications

● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related

field, or equivalent professional experience.

● Minimum 7 years of experience in professional software development.

● Proficiency in PHP and experience with at least one modern PHP framework

(CodeIgniter preferred).

● Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript

● Experience with SQL databases (MSSQL preferred).

● Familiarity with RESTful and Webhook API development.

● Comfortable with Git-based version control and Agile methodologies.

● Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaboration across time

zones.

Preferred Skills

● Experience with cloud platforms, especially Azure.

● Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or other deployment tools.

● Familiarity with QA processes and bug tracking using tools such as Jira, or

Trello.

● Understanding of system architecture and ability to perform basic code

reviews.

● Strong initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

● Strong written and verbal English communication skills and a collaborative

mindset.
