Your role:
The Search Engine Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies to improve organic search rankings, increase website traffic, and drive revenue through search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SEO principles, SEM tactics, and analytics tools, as well as experience with web development and digital marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive SEO strategies to enhance organic search visibility and drive traffic to the company’s website.
- Conduct keyword research and analysis to identify high-impact keywords and opportunities for content optimization.
- Optimize on-page and off-page factors such as meta tags, headers, URL structures, and backlink profiles.
- Monitor and analyze website performance using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and other SEO software.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and SEM, including algorithm updates and industry standards.
- Collaborate with the content marketing team to create high-quality, keyword-rich content that aligns with SEO strategies.
- Manage PPC campaigns (Google Ads, Bing Ads) including keyword research, ad copy creation, bid management, and performance tracking.
- Provide recommendations for website structure, user experience, and technical enhancements to improve SEO.
- Generate and present regular reports on SEO and SEM performance, including rankings, traffic, and conversion metrics.
- Conduct competitive analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities within the industry.
- Assist with social media optimization and integration to enhance search visibility.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website indexing, ranking, and search performance.
You're the right fit if:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Search Engine Specialist, SEO Analyst, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices.
- Proficiency with SEO tools and digital marketing platforms (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, etc.).
- Experience with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, etc.).
- Demonstrable experience managing PPC campaigns and knowledge of Google Ads and Bing Ads platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex SEO concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated
- Certification in Google Analytics, Google Ads, or related SEO/SEM certifications.
- Experience with local SEO and understanding of geographic-based SEM strategies.
- Familiarity with social media marketing and optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of other digital marketing areas such as email marketing, content marketing, and conversion rate optimization.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
