What You Will Achieve

In this role, you will:

• Support the operation and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment and control systems used in the manufacture of biopharmaceuticals

• Support reliability engineering for production and support equipment

• Provide on the floor operational support as needed

• Support the design and qualification of improvements, changes, or upgrades to this equipment as needed

• Support the development of design and startup documents such as commissioning plans, User Requirement Specification (URS), Functional Requirement Specification (FRS), Configuration Specification (CS)

• Support the development of validation and qualification documents

• Provide the execution of commissioning and qualification activities

• Support the maintenance department as needed

• Provide equipment maintenance history review

• Support all investigations and audits as needed

• Support process and component improvement projects as needed

• Provide off-shift and on call support when necessary

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

• Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of experience; OR a master's degree with at least 2 years of experience; OR a PhD with 0+ years of experience; OR as associate's degree with 8years of experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent)and 10 years of relevant experience.

• Candidate should have a BS/MS in engineering or relevant discipline.  Computer Science, Chemical, Electrical preferred.

• Candidate must be able to work across functional areas such as operations, maintenance, quality and regulatory.

• Good communication skills, verbal and written, are required.

• Knowledge of working with computers and associated applications such as MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint is required.

• Knowledge of database applications and Delta V, Allen-Bradley PLC, GE iFix and iHistorian preferred

• Technical writing and document review

• Familiarity of automation network, such as Ethernet, DH+, ControlNet, etc is preferred.

Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)

• Experience in automation including DeltaV and equipment validation

• Knowledge of the manufacturing process and equipment, preferably bacterial fermentation and purification processes

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Experience in facilitating project meetings

• Commitment to safety and compliance with biosafety requirements

• Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance productivity. Demonstrated curiosity for exploring how these tools can improve outcomes and understanding of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use

  

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Minimal travel for equipment support
Ability to work off shift (Nights and Weekends) as needed

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $99,200.00 to $165,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 12.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
