Executive - Warehouse (Outbound Warehouse and Logistics Lead) (Tamil Nadu)

Role & responsibilities

This critical role is accountable for efficiently managing Finished Good Warehouse and Logistics activities both within and outside the factory. Responsibilities include overseeing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, logistics and dispatch planning, inventory control, and various related tasks.

This role involves close coordination with cross-functional departments such as Planning, Production QA, and Finance, as well as the supervision of a larger team to ensure smooth Warehouse and Logistics operations.

1. Finished Positive Warehouse Management:

• Oversee all aspects of Finished Good Warehouse activities within and outside the factory.
• Ensure efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while maintaining high standards of accuracy.

2. Logistics Planning:

• Develop and implement effective logistics plans to optimize the movement of goods.
• Collaborate with transporters to plan and enhance delivery schedules

3. Inventory Control:

• Implement and manage inventory control measures to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy in inventory records.
• Manage First in First Out of Batches to avoid expiry of material.

4. Performance Management:

• Analyse various reports related to warehouse and logistics activities.
• Review transporter and delivery performance and analyze data for process improvement.

5. Team Supervision:

• Lead and supervise a team of co-workers, shop floor employees, external warehouse staff, and contract labour.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure a high level of performance

6. Process Improvement & Productivity:

• Identify opportunities for process improvement within the warehouse and logistics functions.
• Implement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize workflows

7. Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, GWP and safety standards in all warehouse and Transportation activities.
• Establish and enforce safety protocols and conduct regular training sessions for warehouse and Fleet Management staff.

8. System Transformation and Automation:

• Contribute to system transformation initiatives, collaborating with IT and relevant stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for automation in warehouse and logistics processes and lead implementation efforts.
