Senior Clinical Psychologist

Employment Details

Department: Multidisciplinary Team

Location: Kolkata, West Bengal

Employment Type: Full-time

Experience Range: 7+ years

Compensation: 10-12 LPA

Role Overview

The Senior Clinical Psychologist will play a critical role in delivering high-quality psychological assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based interventions for individuals with autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions. The role contributes to strengthening clinical excellence, standardisation of care, and integration of multidisciplinary approaches within India Autism Center.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Assessment & Intervention

Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including diagnostic evaluations for autism and related conditions

Develop individualized therapy plans based on evidence-based practices

Deliver therapeutic interventions tailored to developmental, behavioral, and emotional needs

Monitor progress and modify intervention strategies based on outcomes

Multidisciplinary Collaboration

Work closely with other therapists, special educators, trainers, and medical professionals for integrated care planning

Participate in case discussions, interdisciplinary reviews, and treatment planning meetings

Provide psychological insights to enhance overall care outcomes

Clinical Governance & Quality Assurance

Maintain high standards in assessments, documentation, and reporting across all cases

Integrate assessment and intervention workflows with Clinical Care Software (CCS)

Support standardisation of tools, therapy protocols, and documentation practices

Participate in clinical audits, case reviews, and supervision processes

Ensure adherence to ethical standards and RCI guidelines

Caregiver & Community Support

Provide counseling and psychoeducation to caregivers and families

Conduct workshops and training sessions for parents and support staff

Support behavior management strategies in home and community settings

Research, Training & Development

Contribute to research initiatives and evidence-based practice development

Support development of clinical frameworks and innovative care models

Mentor junior psychologists and trainees where required

Key Outcomes

Delivery of accurate and timely psychological assessments and diagnosis

Improved clinical outcomes through structured, evidence-based interventions

Standardised and compliant clinical documentation and reporting practices

Enhanced caregiver engagement and satisfaction

Contribution to development of scalable clinical systems and frameworks

Must-Have Requirements

MPhil in Clinical Psychology (RCI recognized) OR PG Diploma in Rehabilitation Psychology (RCI recognized) with MA/MSc in Psychology with substantial clinical experience

8–10 years of experience working with autism and neurodevelopmental conditions

Strong experience in psychological assessments, diagnosis, and therapy delivery

Experience working in multidisciplinary clinical settings

Working proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.) for documentation and reporting

Comfortable with digital tools and adaptable to new technologies, including clinical software systems

Preferred Skills

Experience in working within structured clinical systems or care models

Familiarity with digital clinical tools or Clinical Care Software (CCS)

Strong documentation, reporting, and case management skills

Strong interpersonal, training, and stakeholder management skills
