Job Description

Minimum requirements are:

  • Bachelors degree and minimum 1 year of relevant experience; minimum 3 years with AS/AA degree, or minimum 5 years in lieu of degree.
  • Experience with using GitLab for CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps deployments.
  • Experience with microservices, virtualization, and containerized deployments.
  • Experience with in React, Node, Java.
  • Experience with SQL Server and PostgreSQL database technologies.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • A current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain a polygraph.

Peraton is seeking a skilled Junior Full Stack Software Developer to design and build a dynamic, web-based application in a React, Node.js, and AWS environment.

Location: On-site, Washington, DC

About the Mission:

Technology is evolving rapidly, and adversaries are digitally outpacing law enforcement’s ability to keep pace. Those charged with protecting the United States often face challenges in accessing the evidence needed to prosecute crime and prevent terrorism. This role directly supports that mission by delivering secure, scalable, and efficient software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, test, and develop well-structured, efficient, and testable web-based software using React, AWS, Postgres, and related technologies.
  • Translate UI/UX design wireframes into functional applications, ensuring reliability through ongoing maintenance, testing, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with customers and technical teams to translate requirements into Epics, Features, and User Stories for both functional and non-functional needs.
  • Support Agile teams in backlog planning, work item refinement, and story point estimation.
  • Define clear acceptance criteria for User Stories and demonstrate completed work to customers at the end of each sprint.
  • Apply industry-standard design patterns and best practices to software solutions.
  • Implement secure coding standards to safeguard applications and data.
  • Develop automated unit and integration tests to support CI/CD pipelines.
