JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The College of IST’s Office of Learning Design has an opening for a part-time Production Specialist, with a focus on multimedia video and accessibility. This position will primarily support the development of media content and apply accessibility standards for online courses that are part of the College’s undergraduate and graduate degree programs. 

This position is based at the University Park campus and is not fully remote. A resume and cover letter are required and must be submitted in Microsoft Word .docx format.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Edit videos using Adobe Premiere Pro.

  • Organize and manage files for active and completed projects.

  • Caption, transcribe, and create audio description for videos.

  • Publish video content in Kaltura.

  • Editing PowerPoint files for accessibility.

 

Additional Duties, as Assigned

  • Create alt-text and long descriptions for images.

  • Remediate Word, PowerPoint, and PDF files for accessibility.

  • Assisting with the development and revision of course materials in Canvas.

  • Conduct regular course quality assurance reviews. 

 

Required Skills

  • Experience and comfort using Adobe Premiere Pro.

  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. 

  • Willingness to learn about accessibility. 

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Canvas, and Kaltura.

 

Optional Skills

  • Familiarity with other Adobe Creative Cloud applications.

  • Awareness of copyright requirements and best practices.

  • Familiarity of Smartsheet. 

Position Details

  • Hours: 10-20 hours per week, with possible extension into 2027. 

  • Internship credit: Students may be eligible to receive internship credit, depending on their program requirements.

  • Location: University Park campus. This is not a fully remote position.

  • The first three weeks of employment must be worked fully in person before an approved hybrid schedule may be considered. Applicants must confirm their availability for this arrangement in their cover letter.
