Job Overview

As the Director of Business Intelligence you understand the information needs for the business and to provide timely accurate, congruent and reliable information to all stakeholders

Reports To

Chief Technology and Data Officer

Responsibilities and Duties

• Drive a Business Intelligence roadmap; prioritize business insight requests to balance the tactical and strategic information needs of the business
• Develop, implement, and disseminate metrics/KPIs, profitability and outcomes including dashboards and data visualizations from all facets of our business
• Engage with leadership and business stakeholders to quantitatively frame and assess performance
• Partner with Data engineering, Product Analytics and Data Science to understand gaps in and opportunities for instrumentation
• Develop analytics to support executive briefings, and other executive level business reviews with the focus on delivering actionable insights.
• Collaborate in the design and implementation of BI tools. Participate in strategic planning discussions.
• Build easy-to-use data products to support deep dives which identify drivers for business trends

Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to communicate and influence across disparate groups and levels in the organization
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• 8+ years of experience with detailed knowledge of data warehouse technical architectures, data modeling, infrastructure components, and reporting/analytic tools and environments, data structures and hands-on SQL coding.
• 5+ years of demonstrated quantitative and qualitative data science/business intelligence experience with significant business impact
• Proven experience with BI reporting tools (e.g., Alteryx, Looker, Tableau, Mode, PowerBI.)
• Strong analytical skills who takes action and ownership
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field
• Self-starter with experience with Agile methodology and tracking tools such as Jira.

• Healthy skepticism and curiosity - you don't take data at face value and strive for deeper understanding.
• Experience with data science and machine learning tools and technologies
• Experience with Python
