BC Certified Pre-calculus 10-12 Summer School Teacher

Pattison High School is a well-established independent high school located in downtown Vancouver since 2003. At Pattison High School, our motto is " we do not teach a class; we teach individual students in a class".

We are seeking qualified teachers for the teaching position of Pre-calculus 10-12:

Term: July 6 – August 12

Schedule: 3.5 hours per day

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver the Pre-calculus curriculum in alignment with BC Ministry of Education guidelines
• Design engaging lessons that support diverse learners and promote critical thinking, numeracy and analysis skills
• Assess and evaluate student progress using varied assessment strategies
• Provide timely, constructive feedback to support student achievement
• Maintain accurate attendance, records, and reporting documentation
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and administration as needed
• Support students in completing course requirements within a condensed summer timeline

Qualifications

• Valid BC Teaching Certificate
• Demonstrated experience teaching senior secondary Pre-calculus courses
• Strong understanding of the BC Pre-calculus curriculum
• Experience working with diverse learners and differentiated instruction
• Excellent classroom management and organizational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in an intensive, fast-paced environment

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $32.00-$35.00 per hour
