Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Mechanical Design Engineer located in Kolkata. The role involves designing and developing Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear panels, with a specific focus on sheet metal work. Key responsibilities include creating design concepts, developing detailed mechanical designs, utilizing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to manufacture high-quality, compliant products. The Mechanical Design Engineer will also ensure designs adhere to IEC standards while optimizing for production efficiency and performance.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Design Engineering and Product Design principles
• Solid expertise in Machine Design and Mechanical Engineering
• Experience in the use of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for project delivery
• Familiarity with LV/MV switchgear panels and sheet metal work is highly preferred
• Strong problem-solving abilities and an innovative approach to design challenges
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Knowledge of IEC standards and manufacturing processes is a plus
• Freshers can also apply for the post but Basic Proficiency in AutoCAD & Solid works is must
