Job Description

Contribute to a supportive educational environment as a Teacher-Facilitator specializing in diverse learning strategies. This role is designed for individuals committed to enhancing educational access for all students.

As a pivotal member of the student services team, you will provide essential training to educators while shaped by the collaborative development of IEPs for students with unique needs. Your responsibilities include conducting thoughtful assessments, recommending curriculum adaptations, and championing Positive Behaviour Supports. Your expertise in crisis intervention will further enhance safe learning conditions for students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train teachers on inclusive education practices
  • Create and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Assess and recommend curriculum modifications
  • Implement Positive Behaviour Supports in classrooms
  • Support staff with crisis management techniques

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Education or a related field required
  • Minimum 5 years of teaching experience
  • Certification in special education preferred
  • Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Supports required
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
