Security Engineer - Google

About Us

At Palladium Security operating as P46 Cyber Inc. in Canada, we are your Google Security Advantage Extended. As a trusted Google Partner, we live and breathe Google security. Our fast-moving, agile team holds top Google certifications and specializes in helping organizations ditch perimeter-based security for a modern, zero-trust approach. We provide a comprehensive suite of cybersecurity professional services—from Chrome Enterprise Premium and Google SecOps implementations to Secure Start and Security Command Center deployments. We empower our clients to collaborate, innovate, and grow without the constant threat of cyberattacks.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Security Engineer to join our Professional Services team. In this client-facing role, you will be the trusted advisor and hands-on technical expert helping our customers design, implement, and optimize their Google security architectures.

You will guide organizations through seamless adoptions of Google Chrome Enterprise Premium, Google SecOps, GTI and other Google Security solutions ensuring secure workforce access and proactive threat hunting. If you are passionate about consulting, treating infrastructure as code (Terraform), building robust CI/CD pipelines, and driving zero-trust transformations for diverse enterprise environments, we want you on our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Implementation & Advisory: Act as the primary technical consultant for customers adopting Google Chrome Enterprise Premium. Guide them through architecture design, policy creation (Data Loss Prevention, threat protection), and deployment best practices.
  • Zero-Trust Security: Design and implement Context-Aware Access (CAA) and zero-trust workflows using Google Workspace and Google Cloud Identity for client environments.
  • Google SecOps Engineering: Work side-by-side with client security teams to integrate Chrome Enterprise and Workspace telemetry into Google SecOps (Chronicle). Help develop custom YARA rules and elevate their advanced search and threat-hunting capabilities.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation: Develop, deploy, and maintain custom Terraform modules to automate the provisioning of cloud security policies and infrastructure across multi-cloud and GCP client environments.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Design: Build and hand off scalable CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) so clients can securely automate their configuration changes and IAM policy deployments.
  • Customer Success & Workshops: Lead technical workshops, assess current client security postures, and deliver prioritized action plans to mitigate risks and bolster their defenses.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in Cloud Security, Identity and Access Management, or Security Operations, with at least 1 year in a client-facing consulting, professional services, or sales engineering role.
  • Google Security Ecosystem: Deep administrative and architectural knowledge of Google Workspace, Cloud Identity, and Chrome Enterprise Premium (formerly BeyondCorp Enterprise).
  • Automation & IaC: Hands-on proficiency in writing and maintaining Terraform modules for infrastructure and policy automation.
  • Pipelines: Strong experience building, testing, and managing CI/CD pipelines for automated security deployments.
  • Consulting Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex zero-trust concepts to both highly technical engineering teams and non-technical business leaders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications: Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect, or Professional Workspace Administrator certification.
  • SecOps Expertise: Experience with Google SecOps (Chronicle) architecture, YARA rule writing, and SIEM/SOAR integrations.
  • Scripting: Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go for custom automation and API integrations.

Why Join Palladium Security?

  • Bleeding-Edge Tech: Work exclusively with the newest and most advanced Google Security tools on the market.
  • Impactful Work: Partner directly with diverse organizations to solve complex security challenges and protect their critical assets.
  • Agile Culture: Join a fast-paced, highly specialized team where your voice matters and your expertise is valued.
  • Competitive salary and benefits, and flexible remote work options.
  • Continuous learning environment with dedicated support for advanced Google Cloud certifications.
