Job Description
Part‑Time English Teacher
We are currently seeking a part‑time English tutor at our learning centre at Oxford Learning Richmond Hill - Oak Ridges . This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with young students, enjoys teaching the ins and outs of language, and is passionate about helping students build their skills.
Teachers at Oxford Learning do not have to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are pre‑planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods.
Position Requirements
- Work during after‑school and evening hours on weekdays (3:30 pm – 8:00 pm) and some Saturdays (10:30 am – 1:30 pm).
- Commitment until the end of the school year is preferred.
- Reliability and being able to commute to the location is required.
- Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.
Education
- University students will be considered.
- Teaching certification is an asset.
- Good knowledge of the current curriculum.
Experience
- Some experience teaching or tutoring is preferred.
- Strong English written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time.
Responsibilities (Position Details)
- Teach up to three students at a time at different levels.
- Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
- Fill in post‑lesson notes.
- Complete daily student communication updates.
- Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times.

Job Type and Schedule
Part‑time. Evenings, Monday to Friday, and some Saturday availability.
Salary
$18.50 – $20.00 per hour.
Location
13025 Yonge St., Richmond Hill, ON. Applicants must reside in or within a short commute of the Richmond Hill area.
