Role Focus:
This is a center leadership role with primary responsibility for membership growth, daily operations, and member retention. Coaching is a secondary responsibility and performed as needed to support the team.
What You'll Do
Sales & Growth:
The Center Manager is accountable for driving membership growth, conversions, and upgrades through effective sales execution and pipeline management.
· Sales Conversations: Lead in-bound and outbound sales inquiries. Conduct consultative wellness conversations aligned with OsteoStrong guidelines. Drive membership growth and conversions. This role requires confidence in discussing pricing, value, and long-term wellness commitments with prospective members.
· KPI Reporting: Manage and report on sales pipeline and KPIs.
· Upgrades: Help existing members get more from their membership by moving to higher tiered plans.
Operations and Center Management:
Own day-to-day center operations, ensuring accuracy, responsiveness, and timely resolution of member and staff issues.
· Lead with Energy: Create weekly schedules, manage shift changes, and ensure staff coverage during all hours of operation.
· Maintain a Welcoming Environment: Perform daily walkthroughs to guarantee a clean, safe, and inviting space with top-notch equipment. Report and schedule repairs and maintenance as needed.
· Own Daily Operations: Resolve front desk tasks swiftly and ensure all daily responsibilities are met. Update the system and follow up with members or staff to ensure issues are resolved.
- Onboard with Care: Welcome new hires, introduce them to our OsteoStrong culture, and help them thrive right from the start.
Member Experience:
● Empower Members: Ensure member inquiries, holds, and cancellations are handled with professionalism, empathy, and retention-focused solutions.
● Inspire and Motivate Members: Create a motivating, results-focused environment by showcasing member achievements through a well-maintained results wall and other approved recognition initiatives that celebrate progress and consistency.
● Community & Social Engagement: Support and contribute to center social media content like photos and short-form videos of center activities, member milestones, and events on OsteoStrong Tysons VA social channels (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok), in alignment with brand guidelines and member consent requirements.
● Member Events & Retention Initiatives: Ideate, plan, and conduct engaging in-center events and community initiatives designed to educate, motivate, and inspire members—driving stronger relationships, increased engagement, and improved long-term retention.
Team Leadership & Coaching:
Responsible for developing staff.
· Foster a Positive Team Dynamic: Resolve any staff conflicts, mediate effectively, and keep the vibe upbeat and collaborative.
· Develop and Train Team: Conduct quarterly reviews for session coaches, weekly check-ins, and tailored training to bring out their best.
· Coaching: Provide session coaching coverage as needed to support operations and ensure member continuity.
What You Bring:
● Experience: 2-4 years in management, in fitness, wellness, or a membership-based business. Comfortable leading sales conversations and being accountable for results.
● Skills: Willingness to be hands-on while building systems and teams. Strong leadership & communication skills, and a knack for organization and problem-solving. Proficiency in member management systems e.g., CRM, billing, scheduling software etc.
● Physical Ability: Comfortable demonstrating fitness techniques and staying active around the center.
● Positive Attitude: A positive attitude to motivate members and session coaches.
