Job Description
- Provide exceptional support to the NAVSEA Team Submarine (TEAM SUB) Submarine Ship Building (SHAPM) Program Offices, including PMS 397 - COLUMBIA Class Submarine Program Office, PMS 450 - VIRGINIA Class Submarine Program Office, PMS 351 - Future Attack Submarine (SSN(X)) Program Office, and SEA 05Z - Marine Engineering Competency Domain.
- Be part of an innovative structure by supporting TEAM SUB, which consists of the Program Executive Office (PEO) Strategic Submarine (PEO SSBN), PEO Attack Submarines (PEO SSN), and PEO Undersea Warfare Systems (PEO UWS), along with the Direct Reporting Program Office, AUKUS Integration & Acquisition Office (AUKUS).
- Contribute to enhancing processes and structures in submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities.
Required Skills and Experience:
Essential duties include:
- Administer and ensure the smooth daily operation of computer network systems, including workstations, file servers, and web servers.
- Install and configure hardware and software, conduct systems upgrades, manage network accounts, ensure network security, and design web pages.
- Maintain and troubleshoot network security tools such as firewalls, anti-virus software, and intrusion detection services.
- Provide training to staff on relevant software applications.
- Assist clients with various information technology needs.
- Monitor and analyze system configuration (both hardware and software).
- Offer guidance on computers and applications.
- Typical Experience: 10 years of professional experience in systems administration.
- Required Certifications: Cyber WorkForce (CWF) certifications.
- Desired Experience: At least 10 years working with DOD acquisition / In-Service Programs.
- Desired Experience: A minimum of 10 years with Navy Programs.
- Desired Qualities: Proven capability to lead projects and engage effectively with end-users.
- Desired Skills: Relevant database experience.
- Desired Experience: At least 5 years working with submarine/combat systems.
- Desired Expertise: Information Technology system operations and maintenance experience.
Degree Requirements:
- Preferred: BS/BA Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Must possess a secret security clearance.
