As a Senior Principal Technical Product Manager in OCI Compute, you will lead products in the Compute space. You will own the product strategy, ensuring it meets customer needs and drives innovation. This role involves working with diverse stakeholders to bring products from concept to market and shaping the overall product strategy and portfolio. If you enjoy solving difficult, ambiguous problems in a collaborative, agile environment, possess creativity, strong communication skills, and empathy for both customers and engineering, then this role is for you. Your responsibilities will include working directly with key customers to understand their requirements and develop creative solutions. You will define the product vision and strategy for Compute shapes, creating 18-month and 3-year hardware roadmaps, and setting pricing for Compute hardware offerings, including managing marginal cost models. You will launch new Compute hardware products, demonstrating full product lifecycle management. Collaboration with engineering on product requirements and designs, translating business needs into technical specifications, and problem-solving are also key. Go-to-market activities, such as product positioning, gathering customer references, and evangelizing products internally and externally, will be part of your duties. You will also provide product demos, training, and assistance to customers, and keep track of industry trends, market research, and competitive analysis. Driving programs to analyze gaps and increase product adoption, creating content for customer success, and defining and managing customer experience and business performance goals are essential. Proactively identifying and resolving project risks and issues, engaging and influencing executives, and acting as a thought leader and spokesperson for OCI Compute products at industry events are also expected. Minimum qualifications include a BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience, 10+ years in hardware product management, with experience at a leading cloud provider being a plus. You should have a history of launching multiple hardware products, deep knowledge of hardware platforms (AMD, Intel, Nvidia, Ampere), understanding of L6 and L11 bill of materials, and expertise in processor, memory, and SSD components. Good knowledge of thermal and cooling systems is also required. The role demands a customer-centric approach, customer-facing experience, problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment, and a deep technical understanding of cloud infrastructure to define new features.
