Join our dynamic Consulting Services organization as a Lead Data Engineer. We are looking for a highly skilled and passionate individual to be part of a talented team of engineers specializing in Application, Cloud, and Security. You will help create a cloud-native centralized data platform that enhances budget traceability from start to finish.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of substantial experience in data engineering, ETL development, or database management.
  • Proficient in data transformations and extraction from diverse data sources, along with data processing and loading into Oracle or other relational databases.
  • Strong expertise in Oracle Database technologies (e.g., Oracle 19c, Oracle Exadata, Oracle Data Integrator - ODI).
  • Proven proficiency in PL/SQL, Oracle partitioning, and performance tuning.
  • In-depth knowledge of ETL pipeline design and implementation for large-scale data systems.
  • Proficiency in shell scripting, Python, or other automation tools.
  • Adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams involving data scientists, DBAs, and business analysts.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to document and present optimal solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience integrating Oracle databases with other applications in a Cloud environment.
  • Familiarity with PL/SQL and SQL.
  • Exposure to various cloud platforms like Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, or Azure.
  • Understanding of data security best practices and compliance with regulations.
  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines within a data engineering context.
  • Desirable experience in transforming and loading data into PeopleSoft database structures in Oracle.

Required Credentials and Experience:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience for this position.
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science, business, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • This role is a full-time, in-person job located at the client site. We encourage applications from candidates residing in the Virginia/Washington DC area.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this role is between $97,500 and $199,500 per annum, with the possibility of bonuses and equity. Oracle offers a broad range of salary packages to reflect variations in experience, market conditions, and internal equity.
