We are seeking a skilled Biogas Plant Technician to operate and maintain our on-farm biogas digesters. You will monitor anaerobic digestion processes, manage feedstock input systems, and ensure optimal biogas production efficiency. Your responsibilities include performing daily inspections of digesters, pumps, and gas handling equipment, analyzing biogas yield data, troubleshooting mechanical and biological issues, and maintaining detailed operational logs.
You will coordinate with farm operations teams to schedule waste deliveries, manage digestate disposal or beneficial reuse, and implement safety protocols for confined space entry and gas handling. The role requires operating gas compression and conditioning equipment, calibrating sensors and monitoring instruments, and responding to alarms during on-call rotations.
Ideal candidates possess experience with anaerobic digestion systems or similar industrial fermentation processes, familiarity with agricultural machinery and物料 handling equipment, and working knowledge of methane detection and gas safety procedures. Proficiency with data collection software and SCADA systems is advantageous.
