JOB SUMMARY

This position is eligible for remote work in one of the following states: Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Wisconsin, or Wyoming. This position will require some travel for office meetings, as needed, to our corporate office in Tulsa, OK.

Job Profile Summary

With a focus on ONEOK's Natural Gas Pipeline footprint, this Commercial Business Process Optimization (BPO) team member will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and IT to support, maintain, and enhance ETRM, TIES, Quorum, and Transaction Management application platforms. The role requires prior functional and strong technical experience and will operate across multiple application instances with varying levels of automation and customization.

Responsibilities include supporting projects, defining business requirements and testing criteria, providing day-to-day application support, and identifying process improvement opportunities. The ideal candidate brings an understanding of natural gas pipeline commercial, logistical, and accounting business processes, along with strengths in problem solving, process improvement, stakeholder communication, cross-functional collaboration. This role will contribute to BPO initiatives including business process analysis, project delivery, product backlog management, data governance, and continuous improvement efforts.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Develop strong working relationships and collaborate with business users, IT stakeholders, consultants, and vendors to support business objectives.

  • Lead and perform business process reviews, making recommendations for improvements and/or changes to resolve deficiencies.

  • Research and recommend new processes or technology solutions as needed.

  • Solicit feedback and seek alignment with IT and business subject matter experts.

  • Drive effective use of existing processes and systems and partner with leadership to develop standards and best practices.

  • Identify and implement appropriate controls for business processes and technology solutions.

  • Lead implementation of process or technology improvement opportunities by managing large, complex, and/ or cross-functional projects.

  • Collaborate with project sponsors and project teams to define project scope, develop project schedules, gather business requirements, establish project team roles and responsibilities, monitor progress and hold project team accountable for delivery of tasks, develop and execute project communication plans.

  • Research, identify and understand technology solution limitations.

  • Recommend technology enhancements and/or additional solutions.

  • Provide ongoing business user support such as advanced triaging and resolution of application issues, maintaining application configuration, testing system changes and enhancements, and development and delivery of training materials.

  • Support the documentation of business requirements for product backlog tasks and projects, as well as new or existing software applications, business processes, and/or integration and reporting requirements.

  • Support product backlog prioritization in collaboration with management, business users and IT.

  • Identify business problems or management objectives that can be addressed through data analysis and reporting.

  • Develop and maintain moderate to complex business intelligence analysis in support of strategic initiatives.

  • Prepare and present recommendations for new or enhanced solutions to management.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering, Construction Management, Computer Science, MIS, or combination of formal education and the following job-related experience preferred:

Work Experience

  • 5-7 years of experience supporting ETRM, TIES, Quorum, or Transaction Management commercial applications AND business processes within an asset‑intensive or transaction‑driven environment, with exposure to enterprise systems used for deal execution, scheduling, settlement, or financial close.

  • Experience defining and implementing project scope and requirements, managing project deliverables, and leading a project team to ensure successful delivery.

  • Experience with providing user support, testing, training, documenting product requirements, and managing and prioritizing a product backlog.

  • Experience researching, analyzing and composing reports, procedures, forms and correspondence

  • Experience with the energy industry, midstream preference, especially pertaining to technology solutions development

  • Experience supporting application process enhancements, system changes, or operational initiatives in a production environment, including user support, issue resolution, data validation, testing coordination, and change adoption.

  • Working knowledge of Measurement to Settle process flows, including how upstream decisions impact downstream execution, controls, and reporting across multiple functions.
