Deskside Support Engineer

Technical Support

• Provide onsite 1st–2nd line support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Perform software installation, updates, and basic application troubleshooting.
• Resolve issues related to printers, scanners, monitors, docking stations, and other hardware.
• Assist with network connectivity problems including Wi‐Fi, VPN, and wired connections.

User Assistance

• Deliver exceptional front‐line support to employees, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Support end‐users with Microsoft 365, collaboration tools, and line‐of‐business applications.
• Educate users on IT best practices and basic troubleshooting steps.

Operational Tasks

• Perform routine device maintenance and patching activities.
• Manage workstation builds and deployment using standard images or provisioning tools.
• Maintain accurate records in the IT ticketing system, documenting issues, resolutions, and follow‐ups.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding, including device preparation and user account setup.

Collaboration & Escalation

• Work closely with senior engineers and other IT teams to escalate complex issues.
• Support local IT projects such as hardware refresh, office moves, and equipment rollouts.
