As an LPN/RPN/RN, you are dedicated to Making Lives Better and promoting Happier Aging. You bring reassurance and peace of mind to clients and their families while working closely with your Care Designer to provide high-quality care that supports each client’s needs, goals, and overall well-being.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate professionally with clients and interdisciplinary team members.
- Represent the Nurse Next Door brand positively by treating clients and team members with respect, compassion, and professionalism.
- Review care plans before each visit, complete documentation accurately, and perform assigned duties as directed.
- Respond to Care Services Center (CSC) scheduling updates and inquiries within the required timelines.
- Communicate with the Care Designer when there are opportunities to enhance the client’s care or overall experience.
- Deliver professional nursing care based on care plans, assessments, and individual client needs.
- Perform nursing skills, treatments, and procedures safely and competently within the provincial LPN/RPN scope of practice, along with Nurse Next Door policies and protocols.
- Assess clients and provide education to clients, families, and caregivers regarding diagnoses and care requirements.
- Assist with activities of daily living when needed, including hygiene, bathing, grooming, linen changes, and related personal support.
Requirements and Experience
- Current Certificate of Competence and good standing with the provincial College of Nurses.
- Graduate of a recognized Practical Nursing program, with at least 1 year of recent nursing experience.
- Ability to practice safely within your knowledge, experience, and professional scope.
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required; 3 years preferred.
- Community/home health or medical-surgical experience is considered an asset.
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray
- Reliable access to a vehicle for travel to and from clients’ homes.
Availability
- Flexible availability required.
- Casual, part-time, and full-time opportunities available.

- Reports to: Care Designer
- Works closely with: Client Care Ambassador
