Junior Backend Engineer, Messaging & Microservices

We’re looking for a Junior Backend Engineer to join our team and help build the systems behind our products. In this role, you’ll work on message queues, microservice-based services, and basic DevOps tasks that keep our backend reliable and easy to operate.

What you’ll do

• Help build and maintain backend services that communicate through message queues such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar tools.
• Support a microservices architecture by working on small, focused services that connect through APIs and queues.
• Assist with basic DevOps tasks, including writing simple deployment scripts, working with CI/CD pipelines, and helping monitor services.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues related to service communication, performance, and reliability.
• Work with other engineers to improve backend code quality, service stability, and development workflows.
• Contribute to documentation for services, integrations, and internal processes.

What we’re looking for

• Basic backend development experience through personal projects, internships, academic work, or a first full-time role.
• Familiarity with backend programming concepts and building REST APIs.
• Interest in learning message queues, distributed systems, and microservice-based design.
• Curiosity about DevOps practices such as CI/CD, monitoring, and automation.
• Comfort debugging issues and thinking through problems step by step.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with others.
• Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and grow in a fast-moving engineering environment.
