Northern Generator Company Ltd. is looking for a seasoned Sales and Marketing Manager to join their dynamic Toronto-based team.

What You’ll Do
Lead Sales Growth (Primary Focus)
- Own the full sales cycle (prospecting → discovery → proposal → close) for commercial and industrial generator solutions (sales, rentals, service agreements).
- Develop and expand long-term customer relationships across construction, manufacturing, utilities, property/facilities management, healthcare, and critical infrastructure.
- Identify new business opportunities through strategic networking, referrals, site visits, and account-based prospecting.
- Collaborate with operations and technical teams to deliver tailored power solutions that exceed customer expectations.
- Negotiate and manage contracts (equipment, service, preventive maintenance, rentals), ensuring customer satisfaction and recurring revenue.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, customer meetings, and job sites with professionalism and technical confidence.
Build and Execute Marketing That Drives Demand
- Create and deliver a practical sales + marketing plan aligned to growth targets (lead gen, retention, upsell/cross-sell).
- Own pipeline generation through campaigns: digital, email, content, partner programs, and local market initiatives.
- Improve brand visibility and consistency across website, collateral, proposals, and customer communications.
- Manage marketing budget and vendors (when required)—getting the most impact from every dollar.
- Track and report performance using key metrics: leads, conversion rates, CAC, pipeline velocity, win rate, and revenue by channel.
- Support customer retention with service plan promotion, customer touchpoints, and post-sale follow-up programs.
Own the Bidding & Proposal Process
- Manage bids end-to-end—from tender review and requirements analysis to proposal writing, pricing coordination, submission, and follow-ups.
- Build a reusable library of proposal templates, case studies, and product/service sheets to speed up responses and improve win rates.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of proven success in B2B sales and account management—ideally in power generation, industrial equipment, electrical/mechanical solutions, HVAC, construction services, or related industries.
- A strong hunter mentality with the ability to win new accounts and nurture long-term partnerships.
- Experience owning or contributing to marketing initiatives that generate leads and support sales (campaigns, content, events, partnerships).
- Ability to consistently hit KPIs, prioritize effectively, and manage deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong skills in communication, negotiation, and presentation (you’re credible with both technical and non-technical stakeholders).
- Technical aptitude—comfortable learning generator systems, ATS, load requirements, and site considerations.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the GTA and surrounding regions.
