Registered Nurse with Advanced Wound Care

Join VON Canada as a Registered Nurse specializing in wound care within the Nipissing region. This full-time position focuses on providing essential healthcare services directly within the community and client homes.

As a knowledgeable NSWOC, you will utilize your skills in wound assessments and patient education to improve outcomes and promote healing. In this role, you will be part of a collaborative team, addressing complex clinical needs while delivering high-quality care across Ontario and Nova Scotia. Full-time hours are set at 75 bi-weekly, with day and evening shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored assessments and implement care plans collaboratively
• Provide expert wound and ostomy care using best practices
• Educate clients and support decision-making in their health journey
• Act as a resource for staff and provide mentorship
• Facilitate case discussions to enhance patient care

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in the applicable province
• NSWOCC WOC-EP course or comparable certification required
• Minimum three years’ experience in relevant care settings
• Effective assessment and teaching capabilities
• Strong communication skills for client interaction
