Role Overview:

As a Category Manager, you will serve as a trusted and solution-oriented business partner, collaborating with international teams and external partners to implement sustainable and cost-efficient solutions. Your primary objective is to execute strategic procurement practices while ensuring the robustness and transparency of all processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute global procurement strategies for Logistics, warehousing, real estate, and corporate services categories.
  • Lead the end-to-end RFI/RFP lifecycle and engage in negotiating complex contracts with global and regional suppliers to drive margin improvements.
  • Perform thorough market and spend analyses to maintain a deep understanding of technology supply markets and commercial models.
  • Utilize advanced analytical tools for competitive benchmarking and data-driven decision-making.
  • Partner with IT, Finance, Legal, HR, and other global functions to comprehend business requirements and influence demand.
  • Establish collaborative relationships across the organization to align procurement activities with core business needs.
  • Exchange expertise with international strategic buyers to implement sourcing best practices.
  • Contribute to Procurement transformation by adopting new processes, analytics, and innovative work methods.
  • Develop strategic supplier relationships, implementing targeted improvement measures based on performance evaluations.
  • Implement and monitor KPIs, performance dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to effectively manage category performance.
  • Support the development of procurement documentation, playbooks, and standardized best practices.
  • Uphold ethical business practices and ensure adherence to the highest Environmental, Sustainability, and Governance (ESG) standards.

Qualifications Required:

  • Education & Experience: A degree in Engineering or Business, with at least 5 years of experience in procurement roles.
  • Industry knowledge is advantageous, but emphasis is placed on the right attitude and a proven track record of delivery excellence.
  • Methodological Strength: Proficiency in Category Management and strategic sourcing methodologies, with the ability to apply them effectively.
  • Negotiation & Commercial Skills: Strong analytical and negotiation capabilities, experience in handling legal and contractual negotiations.
  • Strategic & Hands-on Balance: Capacity to address complex strategic issues while focusing on operational delivery.
  • Stakeholder Management: Comfort working with senior stakeholders, adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Mindset: Initiative and assertiveness, along with a collaborative "win-together" mindset.
