JOB TITLE – Cargo Coordinator – Supply Chain & Logistics
LOCATION – Mississauga, Ontario - In Office
SALARY – $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 depending on experience + Group Benefits
Position Overview:
Nissin Transport (Canada) Inc. is seeking a highly motivated cargo coordinator to support the continued growth of our supply chain and logistics operations in Mississauga, Ontario.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing seamless movement of goods from their origin to their final destination. This role requires a solid understanding of transportation and distribution services.
Key Responsibilities:
· Coordinating the transportation of goods via air, sea, rail and/or road.
· Booking cargo space, routing shipments efficiently and scheduling pickups and deliveries
· Preparing and verifying shipping documents such as bills of lading, commercial invoices, customs declarations, and packing lists
· Ensuring all international and domestic shipping regulations are followed
· Monitoring shipments to ensure they are on schedule.
· Troubleshooting unexpected delays
· Collaborate with warehouses to ensure timely loading/unloading of cargo.
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
· 1-2 years experience in freight forwarding
· College diploma in freight forwarding would be an asset
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email
· Knowledge of interprovincial and international logistics
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Analytical thinking and problem-solving
· Strong organizational and multitasking skill with attention to detail
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Japanese would also be an asset
· Available to work overtime when necessary
