Backend Developer (Backend Data Engineer)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable backend services using Python and FastAPI
• Build and maintain ETL/data pipelines
• Optimize complex SQL queries and enhance database performance
• Work on structured and unstructured data processing
• Integrate APIs with data platforms and internal systems
• Ensure the high availability, reliability, and performance of services
• Collaborate effectively with product, analytics, and AI teams

Qualification Required:

• Strong hands-on experience in Python (production-grade coding)
• Deep expertise in SQL (query optimization, indexing, joins, aggregations)
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI
• Experience in building data pipelines/ETL workflows
• Solid understanding of database systems (PostgreSQL/MySQL/similar)
• Experience with large datasets
• Good to Have: Experience with Airflow/Kafka, Cloud exposure (AWS/GCP/Azure), Knowledge of distributed systems
• Exposure to data warehousing concepts
