The Group Product Manager is someone responsible for Newforma product delivery as well as managing the performance of a team of Product Managers. The Group Product Manager also drives customers' business review meetings to communicate product direction and roadmap as well as collects feedback on customers' challenges. The Group product manager will oversee putting together a product advisory board that influences the Newforma product direction.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
Team Management
- Hiring and staffing
- Training new employees
- Coaching and developing existing employees
- Dealing with performance problems and terminations
- Conducting timely performance evaluations
- Translating corporate goals into functional and individual goals
- Monitoring performance and initiating action to strengthen results
- Monitoring and controlling expenses and budgets
- Tracking and reporting results to senior management
Product planning
- Manage expectations of stakeholders through frequent and clear communication of vision, strategy, and roadmap
- Manage Team performance and delivery
- Planning and goal-setting for future periods
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and researchers to advocate for, plan, and execute user research and solution validation plans
- Use a lean product mindset to drive product decisions and roadmap development
- Document user needs in workflows and customer journeys
- Set and evaluate product success using qualitative and quantitative measures
- Practice facilitative leadership to drive decision making and prioritization towards positive team and product outcomes
- Contribute to the product management culture
- Own user/product research activities
- Validate features with power users before release
- Identify personas
- Competitive analysis
- Technical watch
- Coordination of focus groups for user research
- Maximize value delivered to the customers through a thematic-driven initiatives roadmap.
- Manage release communication and documentation
Strategic & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Leading change management initiatives within squads, ensuring smooth adoption of new processes, tools, or product directions
- Identifying potential risks early and developing mitigation strategies to keep projects on track
- Championing innovation by encouraging experimentation and adoption of new technologies or methodologies, especially around AI and process improvements
- Defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) for squads and products, using insights to drive continuous improvement
- Overseeing squad and initiative budgets, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and efficiently
- Demonstrates a strong sense of initiative and ownership, proactively driving projects forward and taking responsibility for outcomes.
- Thrives in a dynamic, fast-changing environment, adapting quickly and guiding teams through ambiguity.
- Has the capacity to anticipate future organizational needs and proactively develops strategies and solutions to support company growth.
Requirements for the position includes:
- 5+ years working as Group Product Manager or Product manager in an agile software environment
- Experience with B2B, vertical market, SaaS product development
- Ability to break down complex problems into user-focused solutions
- Experience defining and tracking product metrics
- Project management experience

- Knowledge in Microsoft Azure DevOps
