Job description

🧠 Now Hiring

Registered Social Worker

Applicants must hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree and be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) as a Registered Social Worker (RSW).

Location: Hybrid (In-person and virtual)

🧩 About the Opportunity

NPSCSPN is currently seeking a Registered Social Worker who is authorized to deliver social work and psychotherapy services.

🌱 Who We Are

Our approach is grounded in person-centred, culturally responsive, and integrity. At NPSCSpN, each clinician brings their own expertise, perspective, and approach. What connects us is a shared commitment to providing thoughtful, flexible, and responsive care to the children, youth, adults and families we work with.

We are building a professional culture that centres equity, fosters open and honest dialogue, respects difference, acknowledges power dynamics, and puts inclusion into practice, not just words.

🧑⚕️ Who We Are Looking For

You are a Registered Social Worker in good standing with the OCSWSSW, or are eligible for registration prior to beginning clinical work. You hold a Master of Social Work degree and have demonstrated competence in providing psychotherapy, clinical assessment, and family-centred intervention with children, adolescents, adults and/or families.

In addition to psychotherapy, we are looking for someone who can also support clients and families with service navigation, advocacy, consultation, and liaison work across systems such as hospitals, school boards, community agencies, government-funded programs, and other health and social service providers. This may include helping families understand referral pathways, coordinate care, communicate with external professionals, access appropriate resources, and navigate complex service systems.

Proficiency in a language other than English (e.g., French, Arabic, Mandarin, Spanish) is also considered a strong asset in supporting our diverse client community.

🛠️ What You Can Expect

You will work as an independent contractor, retaining autonomy while benefiting from a supportive, organized, and ethical clinical environment.

  • Clinical Autonomy & Tools Provided: You create your own schedule and take vacation when you need it, no approval process required.
  • A Microsoft Business account (i.e., email, cloud storage, tools) is provided for all clinical work, which are PIPEDA and PHIPA compliant.
  • Access to clinical resources, templates, secure communication tools, and relevant practice materials to support psychotherapy, documentation, referral coordination, and liaison work.
  • Standard forms are provided, including consent forms, release of information forms, referral templates, and documentation resources, and can be customized to your work.

🧰 Administrative and Clinical Support

  • We want your energy going toward client care, not paperwork
  • A practice manager will handle all administrative tasks, including intake, forms, scheduling, communication, referrals, billing and the waiting list.
  • A fully furnished office will be available for your in-person days. We use JaneApp with additional features, including direct insurance billing where applicable.
  • Built-in secure faxing, AI-powered Smart SOAP Notes: a PHIPA-compliant tool with JaneApp.

💸 Financial Structure

  • Our clinic operates on a transparent, small percentage model, designed to cover shared costs while remaining fair to practitioners.
  • A declining percentage fee is then applied to your monthly gross billings. The percentage decreases as your revenue increases, and as more clinicians join the practice, the lowest tier is reviewed downward to ensure equity.
  • The range is between 28% and 15%, depending on your gross monthly billings and the number of active clinicians. This structure ensures that overheads are shared fairly, your take-home grows as you grow your caseload, and you directly benefit when the clinic expands, since the clinic % is reviewed after new clinicians have been established in practice.
  • Further details about the percentage tiers will be provided during the interview and outlined in the professional services agreement.

👥 Team Culture and Professional Development

Monthly team meetings support collective decision-making, clinical communication, and professional connection. The clinic is structured more like a cooperative than a hierarchy, with an emphasis on mutual respect, collaboration, and shared responsibility. Meetings may be followed by a social or professional development session, rotating monthly so it does not always affect the same clinicians.

🏠 Space and Work Model

The clinic operates on a hybrid model. We are intentionally starting small, with a maximum of six clinicians, to preserve the quality of services and cultivate a strong, supportive team culture.
