About
We are looking for a Director, Procurement and Vendor Management to build and lead nesto’s procurement function. This role will be responsible for driving procurement strategy, managing our technology and SaaS vendor portfolio, and establishing the governance frameworks that ensure cost-effective, compliant, and risk-managed vendor relationships. The Director will work closely with cross-functional teams to align vendor strategy with business objectives and support nesto’s continued growth.
What you’ll be doing
- Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy for technology and SaaS vendors, aligned with nesto’s business priorities.
- Lead negotiations and manage the full lifecycle of vendor contracts, including MSAs, SLAs, DPAs, and SOWs.
- Build and manage a vendor risk framework, ensuring compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and drive cost optimization opportunities across the vendor portfolio through benchmarking, consolidation, and renegotiation.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, Finance, Legal, and Operations teams to support procurement needs and deliver timely solutions.
- Create and maintain procurement playbooks, process flows, and a centralized contract repository.
- Build and develop a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Who are you
- 7+ years of experience in procurement, vendor management, or strategic sourcing, with a significant focus on technology and SaaS vendors.
- Proven track record of negotiating complex technology contracts and delivering measurable cost savings.
- Strong knowledge of contract law fundamentals, data privacy requirements (PIPEDA, Law 25), and vendor risk management principles.
- Experience in a fast-growing technology company or financial services firm (experience in the mortgage or fintech sectors is a plus).
- Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex procurement and vendor issues into clear, actionable recommendations for business stakeholders.
- Capacity to identify and solve problems independently, exercising sound judgment with minimal supervision.
- Fluency in English and French (spoken and written) is an asset.
The Reward
- The A-Team: Work alongside high-performing talent in the industry.
- Accelerated Growth: The slope of your learning curve here will be vertical. You will touch more production systems in one year than you would in five years at a bank.

- Rest & Recharge: 4 weeks of vacation to ensure you stay at peak performance.
- Best-in-Class Tools: Access to the resources and tech you need to execute without friction.
- Working framework: The environment that makes you productive and enables teamwork (Hybrid model).
