Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Fire Safety Management
- Develop and implement fire safety policies, procedures, and emergency response plans.
- Ensure compliance with local fire safety laws, regulations, and hospital safety standards.
- Conduct regular fire risk assessments and safety audits.
2. Equipment Inspection & Maintenance
- Ensure proper functioning of fire detection and firefighting systems (fire extinguishers, hydrants, alarms, sprinklers, smoke detectors, etc.).
- Schedule periodic inspection, testing, and maintenance of all fire safety equipment.
- Maintain records of inspections and certifications.
3. Training & Awareness
- Conduct fire safety training programs and mock drills for staff on a regular basis.
- Educate employees on fire prevention, evacuation procedures, and emergency response.
- Coordinate with departments to ensure readiness during emergencies.
4. Emergency Response
- Act as the incident controller during fire emergencies.
- Coordinate evacuation procedures and ensure safe exit of patients, staff, and visitors.
- Liaise with local fire authorities and emergency services.
5. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain all fire safety records, logs, and reports.
- Ensure timely renewal of fire safety licenses and NOCs.
- Prepare reports for management on safety status and improvements.
6. Coordination
- Work closely with engineering, housekeeping, and security departments.
- Supervise fire safety staff and security personnel related to fire duties.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Fire Safety, Fire Engineering, or related field.
- Certification in Fire & Safety Management preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fire safety, preferably in hospitals, industries, or large institutions.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations and systems.
- Good leadership and emergency handling skills.
- Ability to conduct training and awareness programs.
- Attention to detail and risk assessment capability.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Additional Requirements
- Physically fit and capable of responding to emergencies.
- Willingness to work in shifts or be on-call during emergencies.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
