IT Project Manager (Contract Opportunity)

Location: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada (Onsite)

Duration: 24 Months (Extension up to 12 Months Possible)

Work Type: Contract

Overview

"Navitas Partners, LLC" is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to support multiple concurrent initiatives focused on case management systems and digital service delivery. This role involves end-to-end project coordination, technical oversight, and operational support across system enhancements, reporting, and modernization efforts.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in public sector or enterprise IT environments , with expertise in system implementation, testing coordination, stakeholder engagement, and data/reporting processes .

Key Responsibilities Project Coordination & Delivery

  • Support planning, coordination, and execution of system enhancements and releases
  • Maintain project documentation (RFCs, requirements, test records, decision logs)
  • Coordinate testing cycles including UAT, defect tracking, and deployment readiness
  • Provide functional support for case management systems and escalate technical issues
  • Ensure alignment with organizational standards and digital delivery practices

Data, Reporting & Analytics

  • Perform data validation, quality assurance, and integrity checks
  • Gather reporting requirements and develop dashboards/metrics
  • Produce and distribute reports aligned with operational needs
  • Identify trends, risks, and data inconsistencies with mitigation strategies

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Coordinate meetings, agendas, and action tracking
  • Communicate project updates, risks, and decisions to leadership
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and business stakeholders
  • Support change management and communication strategies

Digital Platforms & Website Coordination

  • Maintain and update digital content across websites and portals
  • Prepare and manage Requests for Change (RFC) and Service (RFS)
  • Coordinate UAT for digital updates and ensure stakeholder sign-off
  • Troubleshoot platform issues and coordinate resolutions

Operational & Administrative Support

  • Provide coordination support to leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Align system updates with business and program requirements
  • Support system users and facilitate communication between technical and business teams
  • Contribute to modernization and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of IT Project Management experience
  • 8+ years developing project plans and documentation
  • 8+ years stakeholder collaboration and cross-functional coordination
  • 5+ years experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies
  • 5+ years experience in change management and system implementation
  • 5+ years experience in complex IT system integration and analysis
  • Strong experience in project governance and reporting
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives

Certifications (Required)

  • Active PMP Certification (or equivalent)
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) – Required

Nice to Have

  • Experience with case management systems
  • Experience in data integration (healthcare or enterprise systems preferred)
  • Public sector or regulatory environment experience
  • Experience with reporting tools and analytics
