Marketer - Commercial Insurance

Navis Marine Insurance Brokerage, a proud partner of Navacord, is a boutique brokerage specializing in all things marine. We are looking for a Marketer to join our team.

The Marketer works with the Commercial team to assess client needs and recommend suitable placement solutions, terms and policies details, as delegated by the Senior Account Executive, Account Executive and/or Account Manager. The Marketer will also provide senior level administrative support to Senior Account Executives, as time permits, including assisting with the processing of Renewals, Mid-Term Changes, and Cancellations. This includes invoicing, policy document issuance, client follow ups.

The incumbent requires a positive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Job Location:

· Vancouver, BC (Burrard/Pender)

The salary band is $65,000 to 80,000 depending on experience.

As a Marketer, you get to participate in:

· ·Marketing of new and renewal business with insurance markets, underwriters, or in-house programs.

· Working closely with the Commercial team to meet current client needs, including assisting with the processing of Renewals, Mid-Term Changes, and Cancellations. This includes invoicing, policy document issuance, client follow ups.

· Producing renewals, mid-term transactions and new business processing and general commercial department enquires.

· Answering customer inquiries over the phone or in person, in a courteous and professional manner.

· Maintaining and updating client information.

· Preparing new and renewal documentation, endorsements, invoicing, and cover notes

· Ensuring accurate data entry and taking a lead to resolve discrepancies.

· Preparing and updating reports, submissions, and proposals for Sr. Account Executives and Management as requested.

· Supporting the implementation of new business directives or initiatives.

· Acting as a representative at various industry functions, including Boat Shows.

· Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet assigned tasks on time and with high accuracy.

Ability to work with team members effectively and support others in developing their capabilities through training and mentoring.

Must Haves:

· General Insurance Level 2 license in good standing with the Insurance Council.

· Experience in the insurance industry, providing support to customers specifically in a commercial unit, ideally with marine experience.

· Experience marketing new and renewal business.

· Committed to continuous education through reading, workshops, seminars, and conferences.

Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word), Outlook, and familiarity with an agency management system.

Experience

• Commercial Client Service Representative in Insurance: 2 years (required)
