Join us in Hyderabad and help shape the future of intelligent, AI-ready data management.</p> <p><strong>Role Overview</strong></p> <ul> <li>Nasuni is seeking a VMware Administrator with strong DevOps Infrastructure Engineering to support the build and release systems powering our enterprise storage platform.</li> <li>This role focuses on operating and improving the infrastructure that runs our engineering build and testing pipelines, including Jenkins agents, VMware infrastructure, and Linux-based development environments.</li> <li>You will help ensure the reliability and performance of the systems used by Nasuni’s global engineering organization to build, test, and release software.</li> <li>This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy hands-on infrastructure administration, automation scripting, and supporting development teams through reliable build systems and release execution.</li> <li>This role is not a software engineering role and does not focus on application development.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Level &amp; Scope</strong></p> <p>This role operates as a <strong>hands-on VMware Administrator and DevOps Infrastructure Engineer responsible for maintaining and improving the systems that power Nasuni’s internal build and release platform.</strong></p> <p>You will:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain <strong>Jenkins build infrastructure and agents </strong></li> <li>Administer <strong>VMware vCenter and ESX environments supporting build infrastructure</strong></li> <li>Automate infrastructure tasks using tools and scripts in <strong>Terraform, Ansible, and Packer</strong></li> <li>Execute <strong>release builds and package management workflows</strong></li> <li>Troubleshoot infrastructure interruptions impacting engineering productivity</li> </ul> <p>This role works closely with software engineering teams by providing <strong>reliable infrastructure services and automation support for the development lifecycle.</strong></p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <p><strong>Build Infrastructure Operations</strong></p> <ul> <li>Maintain and operate <strong>Jenkins infrastructure and build agents</strong></li> <li>Troubleshoot and resolve <strong>build failures, agent issues, and pipeline interruptions</strong></li> <li>Ensure build infrastructure remains <strong>secure, patched, and up to date</strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>VMware Infrastructure Administration</strong></p> <ul> <li>Manage <strong>VMware vCenter environments supporting engineering infrastructure</strong></li> <li>Administer <strong>ESX hosts and clusters used for build and test systems</strong></li> <li>Provision and maintain virtualized environments for engineering teams</li> </ul> <p><strong>Automation &amp; Infrastructure Scripting</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop infrastructure automation using <strong>Terraform, Ansible, and Packer</strong></li> <li>Automate repetitive operational tasks across build and test environments</li> <li>Improve infrastructure provisioning and consistency across environments</li> </ul> <p><strong>Release Engineering Support</strong></p> <ul> <li>Execute release build workflows and <strong>support RPM packaging processes</strong></li> <li>Support release qualification builds and artifact management</li> <li>Coordinate release readiness and update distribution systems</li> </ul> <p><strong>Engineering Infrastructure Support</strong></p> <ul> <li>Support engineering teams by provisioning build environments and automation</li> <li>Assist with debugging build issues and infrastructure interruptions</li> <li>Maintain documentation and operational runbooks in Confluence</li> </ul> <p><strong>Continuous Improvement</strong></p> <ul> <li>Improve reliability and performance of build and test systems</li> <li>Optimize build execution time and infrastructure efficiency</li> <li>Evaluate emerging tooling such as <strong>GitHub Actions runners or container-based build environments</strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>AI-Assisted Workflow Efficiency</strong></p> <ul> <li>Leverage AI-assisted tooling where appropriate to accelerate troubleshooting, documentation, and infrastructure automation while validating outputs for accuracy and operational reliability.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <p><strong>Must-Have Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience administering <strong>VMware environments including vCenter and ESX hosts</strong></li> <li>2-4 years of experience in&nbsp;<strong>DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, Administration, or Build Engineering</strong></li> <li>Hands-on experience managing <strong>Jenkins infrastructure or build systems using Groovy </strong></li> <li>Strong <strong>Linux systems administration experience</strong></li> <li>Experience creating infrastructure automation using <strong>Terraform, Ansible, or Packer</strong></li> <li>Experience troubleshooting <strong>build failures and infrastructure reliability issues</strong></li> <li>Experience supporting <strong>engineering teams through internal infrastructure services</strong></li> <li>Experience automating <strong>repetitive operational tasks</strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience supporting <strong>build and release infrastructure for software engineering teams</strong></li> <li>Familiarity with <strong>RPM packaging or artifact management workflows</strong></li> <li>Experience operating <strong>large Jenkins environments with multiple build agents</strong></li> <li>Exposure to <strong>GitHub Actions, runners, or modern CI systems</strong></li> <li>Experience working in environments with <strong>VMware clusters supporting development infrastructure</strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>Ideal Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience supporting build infrastructure used by <strong>large distributed engineering teams</strong></li> <li>Experience improving <strong>build reliability and execution performance</strong></li> <li>Experience managing <strong>virtualized infrastructure at scale (100+ hosts or VMs)</strong></li> <li>Experience migrating build systems toward <strong>containerized runners or Kubernetes</strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>Experience Guidelines</strong></p> <p><strong>Total Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>2-4 years in VMware, infrastructure engineering, or build engineering roles.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Relevant Technical Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>2+ years administering <strong>Linux infrastructure</strong></li> <li>2+ years managing <strong>Jenkins or build automation systems</strong></li> <li>2+ years working with <strong>VMware infrastructure</strong></li> <li>Experience with <strong>automation scripting using Terraform, Ansible, or Packer</strong></li> </ul> <p><em>To all recruitment agencies: Nasuni does not accept agency resumes.
