Job Description

As a Finance Manager, you will lead several process workstreams through explorations, gap analysis, integration planning, execution, and problem solving. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying finance-related risks and partnering with cross-functional teams to mitigate the identified risks.
  • Discussing finance/accounting concepts with others across the organization.
  • Leading and driving execution of plans and influencing where you do not have direct authority through strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proactively engaging, evaluating, and driving resolution of potential conflicts between various Finance and non-Finance functions.
  • Managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Working collaboratively with workstream leads and subject matter experts to arrive at risk-based approaches related to tactical execution steps.
  • Demonstrating comfort with problem-solving and creative solutioning.
  • Managing daily accounting operations including general ledger, prepaid expenses, and accruals accounting.
  • Overseeing period-end close activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of accounting close.
  • Managing and reviewing account reconciliations, ensuring compliance with internal accounting policies and financial reporting standards.
  • Maintaining and continuously improving accounting processes for prepaid and accruals, including automation, efficiency, and governance enhancements.
  • Ensuring proper accounting and reporting under U.S. GAAP, including application of internal policies and SOX controls.
  • Partnering with FP&A;, Tax, Treasury, and other finance teams to explain variances and support business decision-making.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert on foreign currency accounting and reporting (FX Reval and CTA).
  • Leading or supporting special projects or system implementation initiatives to enhance financial processes and reporting.
  • Collaborating with internal and external auditors, providing documentation and insights as needed.

Qualifications Required:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree OR any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership of GL/Corporate accounting functions.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with a Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Business, or Finance.
  • A combination of Public Accounting experience (Big 4 preferred) and industry experience with global, publicly traded companies (technology sector experience a plus).
  • Expertise in SAP ERP and experience with accounting system implementations, enhancements, and optimizations to support GL operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements, optimize workflows, and enhance automation in GL and corporate accounting operations.
  • Experience leveraging automation and AI tools to optimize accounting processes.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and SOX compliance.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage large data sets with speed and accuracy.
