  • Partner with Operations teams to diagnose and resolve network issues quickly, helping minimize service interruptions.

Vendor and Solution Evaluation

  • Assess new networking hardware, software, and solutions that support network strategy and growth plans.
  • Work with vendors to understand product roadmaps and provide feedback on feature improvements.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing

  • Create and maintain technical and training documentation, including network diagrams, configuration guides, and troubleshooting procedures for Product, Sales, and Sales Engineering teams.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, reference materials, and test strategies for network equipment, application deployment, and operations.
  • Share knowledge with team members and mentor technical and customer-facing resources.
  • Work with Network Engineers to develop and oversee product investigations, proofs of concept, service validation activities, and lab-based product demonstrations.

Required Education and Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in carrier and customer network design, operations, deployment, and support.
  • Broad experience or exposure across network product design, development, verification, deployment, and support.
  • Understanding of Metro Ethernet Forum standards and objectives as they relate to Carrier Ethernet Services.
  • Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols, including IPv4, IPv6, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, and MPLS.
  • Hands-on experience with network test devices and reporting tools such as Ixia and Spirent.
  • Experience with network automation and scripting using Python, Ansible, or similar tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, including mentoring engineers and customer-facing resources.
  • Strong understanding of security principles and practices related to network architecture.
  • Proven experience in network design, architecture, and optimization.
  • Professional certifications from Cisco, Juniper, Ciena, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Comfortable leading meetings and communicating technical issues, risks, and trends to senior management and other stakeholders at the appropriate level of detail.
